On Thursday 26th June 2025, London South East Colleges hosted a celebration titled ‘The Power of Partnership’. This brought together educators, employers, and community leaders to celebrate the impact of their collaboration.
Amin Aboushagor from the Workforce Integration Network (WIN) team at the Greater London Authority (GLA) spoke to the audience about how the WIN toolkit can support businesses in becoming more inclusive. He also discussed the importance of green skills, a cause championed by the Mayor’s Green Skills Academy for Local London. Whilst attendees worked through activities with others at their tables, we, as the Mayor’s Green Skills Academy for Local London, played our interview with Mete Coban, Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy. This allowed the audience to learn more about green skills and their relevance to employers and workforces.

The event also saw the launch of the LASER Scholarship Scheme, aimed at supporting young talent into meaningful employment. Employers can pledge support HERE.
It was great to have Amin speak to employers and community leaders about the work of the WIN Team, and to showcase our interview with so many local businesses.
